1% Better Each Day

So many people give up, give in, or just quit when things get hard. I’ve been there and I can understand why people do give up. Most of the time it’s because they don’t see the results, they feel like the effort they are putting in just isn’t amounting to anything. For me I used to give up because I had adopted the ‘all or nothing’ mindset. This mindset really can hurt you if you’re not careful.

The all or nothing mindset made me go from not doing anything productive to taking on the whole world. It worked, until it didn’t. It showed to be a hurtful mindset and caused me to resent my inaction. To put it simply, it wasn’t sustainable. When I created this new mindset I burnt out almost instantly. I think lots of people can relate to me about lack of motivation and action. It could be that you have a toxic mindset with yourself. If you give up before you even start it shows you lack self belief. But, you can change it all. Adopting what I’ve learned to be a 1% better mentality changes everything.

The power of 1% better mentality is astronomical. When I first took up this mindset I lacked in many areas. However, day in and day out I saw progress. Over the course of the past two years I completed 75 hard; a mental toughness program, graduated High School early, and built my first successful business. This was all done because I switched my thinking from “why try, I can’t do this” to “why not try and be better.” This is the power of a 1% better mentality. Switching me from inaction to action.

You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to be better. To be better focus on one small area to improve in. Over the course of a year, you become almost 37 times better than who you were. By contrast with an all or nothing mindset you don’t even try. I like the payoff of how the 1% better mentality has treated me. I promise you it will treat you the same.
